The Mochiri standard · 01 / 04

Craft
Four things every Mochiri is held to.
Whichever edition you choose, the same four decisions are made in the same order. Nothing is added until the previous one is right.
01 — Weight
Enough to feel. Not enough to notice.
Every Mochiri is ergonomically designed with a weight-balancing mechanism, so the pen does the pressing and your hand does not have to. The first thing you register is that it is there. The second is that you stopped thinking about it.
02 — Balance
The point just behind the grip.
Balance decides whether a pen is used for ten minutes or two hours. Each edition is weighted so the fulcrum sits a finger's width behind the section, posted or unposted — smooth, stress-free handwriting movement, from a signature to a long letter.
03 — Mechanism
Small confirmations, a thousand times.
Caps that seat with a soft, definite stop. Clips that return without a rattle. Converters that fill cleanly and nibs that start on the first stroke. Every instrument is refillable and quality-checked before dispatch.
04 — Finish
Made to be marked by your hand.
Matte metal, polished steel, warm wood. Finishes that show their surface honestly under light and gain rather than lose from a year in a pocket. Design inspired by Japanese artistry — restraint first, decoration last.
